Hi Kim

Many thanks for your email.

Our recent article on 'French Radio Calls' (with audio files) should help with the rusty French and local procedures.

There is an excellent book called 'Pilote Plus Stopover Guide' which covers Chambres d'hote, restaurants, taxis, etc—it is available from various aviation retailers including www.afeonline.com, www.flightstore.co.uk, www.pooleys.com, www.transair.co.uk and, in France, www.boutique-du-pilote.com

Perhaps one of our readers can recommend an instructor near Cherbourg.

Regards

Sue
