Hiya Sue, Nice site.. I'm a low houred PPL, so wanting to cross the ditch and fly in the delightful French countryside but scared to death with the language problem!! As to the charges for 'Go Arounds' Shoreham on the south coast is doing it now and charge a touch and go fee!! the general feeling is that it is highly dangerous and it is likely to induce someone to try and get it in when the right call should be to go around!! Hope to get to your lovely part of the world soon

Hi Martin

Many thanks for your information. I find it hard to believe that anyone could charge for a go around. I agree with you it is very dangerous and short sighted. The UK seems to be becoming generally GA unfriendly.

With reference to your wish that you would like to fly in France, truly it is not difficult at all, as long as you speak to the larger FIS. I can assure you they all speak excellent English.

If you would like any help with your route, just ask me and I shall try to point you in the right direction.

If you would like to come to Limoges for experience flights with me, I would be delighted to help you.

Good luck and keep adding the comments as they are very welcome.
