Dear Sue Virr, Can I make a preliminary enquiry. I expect to be in the Limoges area between weds 22 and Fri 24th July. I wonder if you would be likely to be available then to give some instruction particularly on french language RT and flight route planning.
Thank you, John Chapman Plymouth UK

Hi John

I noticed your comment on Francoflyers and have drawn it to Sue’s attention as we seem to have an issue with the Typepad administrative emails from the blog being rejected as ‘spam’ by our domain name host.

In fact, good English is spoken by all French Air Traffic controllers but you might find the following article useful for uncontrolled airfields where the pilots speak to each other in French.

If you visit Limoges, you can hear both languages in use as the French Controllers will respond in French if you address them in French.

Sue will doubtless respond shortly.

Hi John

I will be delighted to help you with the flight planning and radiotelephony, however as Les has mentioned we have a lot of information on the Francoflyers site so you could begin now.

Please remind me a few days prior to your visit to Limoges. It is easier to contact me by email info@nearlyheaven.com
