I hope you don’t mind me writing to you but I represent a young pilot (my son) in need of some mountain training and I wondered if you might be able to help before he embarks on his double world record flight.
Travis Ludlow a 17 year old pilot with a FAA and EASA PPL, who just recently got back from the US after completing his Instrument Rating in Phoenix. He started flying at 13 and became the youngest glider pilot on his 14th birthday and then the youngest certified PPL pilot on his 17th. His big event starts next year when he take-off to fly around the world, to be the youngest pilot in history to do so.
His is very fortunate to have some major sponsors behind him, namely; Bendix King, iHeartMedia, Whelan Aerospace Technologies, AeroGuard, Foreflight and many other. His sponsors have requested he return to the US for speaking engagements and the Oshkosh air show after his around the world flight, which would put him on the west coast of the US, when he finished in the US. So the decision was made to continue west; so now his around the world flight has become twice around the world and only one person has ever done that before, in the same year.
We are hoping that you might be able to help direct him to a school that might be able to offer him some vital mountain training and rating for his epic, double world record flights. We believe we can offer them excellent media value in exchange for training (or part thereof) .
If you have the time, would you care to look at his website which explains his double world record flight next year www.aroundtheworldsolo.co.uk
I would love to hear from you and discuss this with you further.
Kind regards and thank you for your time.
